A RECORD DAY FOR OUR COMMUNITY!
Today, Wednesday 30 September 2026, Navigating Sanctuary Life (SCIO) hosted another Dignity in Food Provision event at Ashgill Recreation Centre, Milton, and what a day it was!
59 community members joined us from across Glasgow, Edinburgh, Paisley and Aberdeen, making this our highest attendance ever.
We were also delighted to serve a record 65 culturally valued hot meals, providing not only food, but a welcoming space where people could come together, connect and feel part of the community.
We were especially grateful to Emma from SAMH, who delivered a very insightful and engaging session on Positive Conversation, encouraging meaningful discussion around communication, connection and wellbeing.
This work is about much more than food. It is about dignity, belonging, community and wellbeing, and today's turnout showed just how important these spaces are.
A huge thank you to all our community members, volunteers, partners and supporters who continue to make these events possible.
With the support of the GCVS Glasgow Wellbeing Fund and Corra Foundation, we are proud to continue bringing people together and providing culturally valued food in a welcoming and inclusive environment.
59 people. 65 hot meals. One stronger community.
